
Bhubaneswar : Odisha Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati on Thursday welcomed President of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu to a ceremonial dinner held at Raj Bhavan, marking a significant highlight of her visit to the state. The Governor was joined by the First Lady, Smt. Jayashree Kambhampati, who co-hosted the evening.
The grand dinner, arranged to celebrate the President’s stay in Odisha, witnessed the participation of a wide spectrum of distinguished personalities representing governance, administration, and public life. The event created a gathering of leaders whose contributions span across various sectors of the state and the nation.
Among the eminent attendees were Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and his wife, Dr. Priyanka Marndi. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Jual Oram also graced the occasion, adding to the evening’s prominence.
Speaker of the Odisha Legislative Assembly, Smt. Surama Padhy, along with Deputy Chief Ministers Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, attended the dinner, reflecting the presence of Odisha’s top leadership. Several members of the state cabinet, a number of MPs and MLAs, senior officials, and other respected dignitaries were also part of the gathering.
