Goa : The long wait for motorcycle enthusiasts across Odisha and the rest of India has finally ended as Royal Enfield has officially revealed the all-new Bullet 650 at the grand Motoverse 2025 event in Goa. After creating significant buzz during its international premiere at EICMA, the iconic motorcycle has now made its much-anticipated debut on home soil. This launch marks a historic milestone in the Bullet’s legacy that has proudly endured since 1932.
The Bullet 650 stands as a fine example of how classic heritage can coexist with modern engineering. At first glance, it remains unmistakably a Bullet, preserving its dignified upright posture and commanding road presence. Traditional styling cues continue to shine through, including the iconic winged insignia, carefully hand-painted pinstripes on the teardrop fuel tank, and the signature pilot lamps that add to its vintage charisma. While its appearance evokes nostalgia, the underlying technology reflects a leap into the future.
The most significant advancement lies in its powertrain. For the first time ever, the Bullet series has adopted a twin-cylinder configuration. The motorcycle is driven by a 648cc parallel-twin engine, previously seen on the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT. This air-and-oil-cooled motor produces 47 bhp and 52.3 Nm of torque, delivering improved throttle response and refined performance. Riders accustomed to the traditional single-cylinder rumble will now experience smoother acceleration and effortless cruising, ideal for long-distance routes such as the Bhubaneswar-Puri highway. A six-speed gearbox complements the engine, ensuring relaxed and stable performance during high-speed travel.
Built with comfort and durability in mind, the Bullet 650 is perfectly suited for extended rides. It features a wide, supportive bench seat with a practical height of 800mm, making it accessible for riders of varying builds. The motorcycle is constructed on a reinforced steel tubular spine frame and rides on a 19-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel, offering a balanced and confident stance on the road.
With a kerb weight of approximately 243kg, the bike delivers excellent road stability, lending it a solid and reassuring “bulletproof” feel during highway rides. Safety has also been significantly enhanced, thanks to disc brakes on both wheels and standard dual-channel ABS. To match contemporary expectations, Royal Enfield has equipped the Bullet 650 with an LED headlamp and a USB Type-C charging port, ensuring practicality without compromising its classic charm.
Although the official price details are yet to be disclosed, industry sources suggest that the Bullet 650 is likely to reach Indian showrooms by January 2026. It is expected to be competitively priced near the Classic 650, positioning it as a premium offering for riders who seek a blend of heritage elegance and modern performance.
