
New Delhi : Odisha’s vibrant cultural identity, evolving economic landscape, and timeless heritage are leaving a remarkable impression at the 44th India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2025 in New Delhi, captivating visitors from across the country and overseas.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo visited the Odisha Pavilion on Monday and commended the State’s comprehensive portrayal of its transformative journey across multiple sectors.
Shri Singh Deo praised the pavilion’s artistic layout, immersive themes, and meticulously crafted environment. Highlighting the State’s strong roots in craftsmanship, he noted that Odisha’s handloom, handicrafts, and tribal creations continue to showcase unmatched cultural depth and artisanal mastery.
“The pavilion provides a holistic window into Odisha’s glorious art traditions, cultural heritage and its strides in modern development. I am confident the Odisha Pavilion will once again earn well-deserved accolades,” he said. He also expressed delight over the rising interest in millet-based foods (Shri Anna) and natural, organic products.
This year’s IITF, being held till November 27 with the theme “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat,” features the Odisha Pavilion on the first floor of Hall No. 4 at Bharat Mandapam. The pavilion, inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister Smt. Pravati Parida on November 14, stands out with grand replicas of the iconic Singha Dwara of Puri Srimandir and the Boita Dwara—symbolic representations of Odisha’s cultural pride and maritime trade heritage.
A total of 28 curated stalls from various government departments and partner agencies—including handloom, handicrafts, ORMAS rural products and items crafted by Women Self-Help Groups—are presenting Odisha’s diverse strengths at the country’s premier trade fair. Live craft demonstrations in Pattachitra, Tarakasi filigree, Sabai grass weaving, and Lac artistry are drawing significant visitor engagement.
Odisha’s signature sweets and traditional foods, such as Rasagola, Chhena Poda and a range of indigenous organic delicacies, are also enjoying enthusiastic appreciation from fairgoers.
